Formulating the patented recipe for Remnant Farm Kombucha started out as a labor of love for our Founder and Master Brewer, Adam Taylor, as he sought to create a healthy dietary supplement for his family. However, the endeavor soon turned into an abiding passion bordering on obsession. It involved endless hours of intense R&D every day, over a period of several months, eventually culminating in that indescribable Eureka! moment.
Hard Kombucha
Soft Kombucha
The base ingredient in Remnant Farm Kombucha is fermented oolong green tea and Ceylon black tea. There are a range of health benefits associated with the consumption of fermented beverages. Here are some of the key ones:
Note:

Vital vitamins and minerals strengthen the overall immune system and help ward off a broad spectrum of infections and diseases.
Chrysoeriol flavonoid, a bronchodilator that improves blood circulation and helps regulate blood pressure. Antioxidants work to lower bad cholesterol and prevent plaque buildup in the blood vessels.
Minerals such as Calcium, Manganese and Fluoride strengthens bones and help prevent or control conditions such as Arthritis and Osteoporosis. Anti-oxidants and enzymes help keep your skin youthful, supple and glowing, and prevent wrinkles.
Helps alleviate pain caused by internal or external inflammations across all parts of the body.
The bronchodilator, chrysoeriol flavonoid, help control or combat allergic rhinitis and asthma.
Probiotics restore the balance of friendly bacteria in the gut to combat gas, diarrhea, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. Anti-spasmodic nutrients provide relief from stomach aches. Tannin helps control diarrhea.
Perhaps, the single most noteworthy benefit of consuming a fermented green tea-based beverage like kombucha – and a subject of several studies conducted by researchers in the nutritional sciences.
We know that ingesting naked carbohydrates causes sudden spikes and troughs in the levels of insulin and glucose in the bloodstream and that when this occurs over a period of time, it may lead to the onset of Type 2 Diabetes.
But a spate of recent and credible studies (like this one) suggests that fermented food and beverages, for instance, kombucha, which is rich in tea polyphenols and organic acids – a kind of acidic tea soup beverage, fermented by acetic acid bacteria, yeasts, and lactic acid bacteria – helps regulate insulin and glucose levels in the bloodstream.
Here is another study that shows that the mean Glycemic Index of kombucha based test meal (68 ± 4) was significantly lower than that of a soda water based test meal (86 ± 6, p = 0.041) and a diet lemonade based test meal (84 ± 6, p = 0.050), with an observed reduction equivalent to ~17 absolute GI points or ~20% reduction.
Kombucha is a fermented tea, that has probiotics, and healthy acids.
No, most of the bacteria dies off when the ABV% get’s too high. It does still have all of the healthy acids, so this is really cool, we had this analyzed in a lab. This means that it doesn’t allow the body to absorb all of the carbohydrates that are being consumed (This is still very new knowledge to most).
No, it is a very intentional process. Soft kombucha loves oxygen, so it’s a 2 part brew process. We take oxygen away, and add yeast, similar to making beer.
It’s flavored with an herbal fruited tea, lower in sugar, gluten free, not pasteurized, and no preservatives.
Because it has no preservatives and is not pasteurized it needs to be refrigerated. As long as it stays refrigerated it will not go bad, it will lose carbonation eventually after a container has been opened.
Our master brewer has a culinary degree. Our recipes are standardixed. Flavor and quality are priority #1.
We wanted a product that was an alternative to Beer-gluten and made with monocrops- like wheat, and barley, these crops are heavily sprayed with pesticides, and are genetically modified. Wine/Cider-heavily sprayed with pesticides, high in sugar and have sulfites.
We are distribution focused, and now offer direct delivery…..yay!!!
