Founded by Stephanie and Adam Taylor, Remnant Farm produces both hard and soft kombucha. The Taylor’s combined love for nutrition and wholesome living drew them to purchase a farm in 2019, which became known as “Remnant Farm.” The desire to add a healthy nutritional supplement to their family diet led Adam to experiment with various versions of kombucha. Through time, he developed two consistent recipes with flavor profiles he believed a wider audience would appreciate.
Powers Brewery agreed to feature the soft kombucha as an alternative to their brewed beers. It was so successful that the brewery asked Adam to brew for them, allowing him to produce the volume needed for a commercial operation. This prompted the couple to evaluate their time commitment to growing the business. In order to diversify and reach more breweries, hard kombucha became the new focus, and this product line was launched in August 2021.
Adam and Stephanie are dedicated to growing and scaling the distribution of their amazing products throughout Northern Virginia and beyond.
It is necessary to regenerate soil on more than four billion acres of cultivated farmland to feed the world, keep global warming below 2 degrees Celsius and stop biodiversity loss.
The cultivation techniques we use at Remnant Farm are not just ecologically sustainable but truly regenerative. They are designed to enhance the quality of soil, water, the environment, and, consequently, the produce.
Regenerative agriculture facilitates soil aggregation, water infiltration and retention, and nutrient cycling. It increases the soil organic matter, biota, and biodiversity – the prime driver of soil carbon sequestration, and offers a host of other ecosystem benefits vital for healthy plant growth.
